Using SalStat for published research

If you use SalStat in published research, please provide a citation. In APA format, it is:

Download SalStat

Downloads of the source code are available from SourceForge.

The latest source code version is salstat.20140516, and is available in zip format. I should be preparing some stand-alone executables as soon as I can!

WARNING - THIS SOFTWARE IS A BETA RELEASE - this means that it could crash your machine taking valuable data (though this is unlikely!). MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR DATA BEFORE USING IT (but this applies to all software, right? Just read your EULA!)

Installation instructions

These need to be installed to run Salstat fully. I've provided version information for guidance:

  • Python (version 2.7 is fairly safe)
  • Numpy (version 1.8.0 is good)
  • SciPy (version 0.13.0)
  • requests (v 1.2.3)
  • BeautifulSoup (v 3.2.1)
  • xlrd & xlwt (v 0.9.2)
  • ezodf (0.2.5)
  • sas7bdat (0.2.2)

Alternatively, Salstat is on GitHub which is the best place to get the latest code.
